The Evansville Firefighters Foundation is working toward one of its most ambitious projects to date: funding a dedicated rope rescue response vehicle and specialized technical rescue equipment. This initiative will strengthen the Evansville Fire Department's ability to respond to high-angle, confined space, trench, and other complex rescue incidents throughout Evansville and the surrounding region. A dedicated response vehicle will improve organization, reduce deployment times, and ensure specialized equipment is readily available when lives are on the line.
With an estimated project cost of approximately $250,000, this is a significant investment that will require the support of community members, businesses, and grant partners. Donations will help fund the rescue vehicle, specialized rope rescue equipment, replacement gear, training resources, and long-term maintenance, ensuring our technical rescue teams remain prepared for the most challenging emergencies they may face.
